Beta

对于玩家,您可以使用smalThe raising of fighting fish in Thailand, from tools used to domestication and feeding, shares in order

Welcome to Hongjia Share

In this issue, we will talk about the raising of Beta in Thailand, which will be described in the following order: feeding tools, habits, water body, water change, feed, feeding methods and domestication

1、 Feeding utensils 1. Any transparent container with water volume of 2 liters. This should be the basic water required for an adult male fish. The mini box for children to play with, if raised for a long time, is undoubtedly a kind of abuse for the fish

A transparent container larger than or equal to two liters is the best

2. Fish droppings. It is especially suitable for small fish tanks without bottom sand. It can be used to suck out residual bait and excreta, and can be used to maintain water quality

This 28cm long straw is more suitable for raising betta

3, a bucket. It is used to raise water. The tap water should be stored for at least 3 days. If conditions permit, an oxygen head can be put in for oxygen exposure overnight. It is no problem for emergency use. The main function of oxygen exposure and water body placement is to remove chlorine and other heavy metals in tap water, which is better for fish or flower cultivation

It is better to choose a larger bucket, at least 16L

4, small basin and small strainer. It is a necessary tool for fish lovers, especially when changing water

As long as it is a suitable container, you can

5. The bottom sand and plants are optional. If you need to use the bottom sand, you must wash it before putting it into the tank. The color of the bottom sand can be personal preference, or dark, so that the fish is easy to color (also applicable to other fish)

The original tank creates scenery

6. The mirror or round head chopsticks can be used to show the male matador the mirror and use the chopstick head (the sharp columnar object of chopstick head can also interact with the matador) to tease the male matador, and the fin can be trained. If you do not expand your fins for a long time, you will be in a state of malaise, or even lose your fighting spirit, which will reduce your enjoyment. If you have time to interact with the fighting fish, you will find that their eyes will move

The small mirror with handle is convenient. In particular, males of the same kind will spread their tail fins and open their gills to each other, and show their majesty to each other

Therefore, male bettas should not be kept together when they grow up, unless your tank is large enough and the plants are flourishing. The fight between male bettas is basically "duel". But if you put the two tanks together to show them to each other, you can enjoy their most beautiful heroism

The female betta can basically be raised together. But the prerequisite for co-breeding is:

a. grew up together and kept in the same tank all the time

B. Enough space and shelter can be provided

Beta collection

★ Summary: Generally speaking, female bettas can be raised together, sometimes there will be chasing, biting and pecking, but not "fatal". If you eat more and have more space, the fight will be reduced. It should be noted that even if the female fish were raised separately, they could not be raised together in the future. The female fish raised together after separation would still attack each other like the male fish. Even a male and a female can't be raised together if they don't breed intentionally. The male fish has a stronger sense of territory

The betta is actually a very cute fish. After a period of familiarity, it will react to your every move. As soon as you get close to them, you will swim excitedly, and even when your fingers are close to the water, it will jump up and peck, and the sense of mutual movement is very good

Some bettas (especially wild ones) can jump out of the tank. They can be covered with gauze or mesh, cut a small hole for feeding, and then tie the tank mouth with a thread, which is beautiful and practical. Just remove the gauze when changing water and cleaning

3、 Water body method 1 (transparent water)

The advantage of transparent water is that it is good for viewing. Conventional tap water (stored for more than three days) can be used. Even if it is exposed to green algae in the sun, it doesn't matter. Beta has a strong adaptability. Or oxygen exposure overnight, which can also quickly remove chlorine in water

Transparent water body

Method 2 (olive leaf water)

The olive leaf water will release a lot of substances such as tannic acid, oxalic acid, folic acid, tannic acid and humic acid. The functions of these acidic substances include softening water quality, inhibiting bacteria and promoting protein growth. They have very good effects on stabilizing water quality, and can rapidly reduce the PH value of water, commonly known as reducing acid. This is a very good water quality additive for Thai bettas

Olive Leaf

★ Summary

Beta has a high water adaptability. The only thing I'm afraid of is the water that hasn't been changed for a long time. There are harmful substances such as excessive ammonia nitrogen and nitrite, which may lead to "tank climbing" or "rotten tail". If the chlorine in the water is not removed cleanly, it is also easy to cause damage to the surface mucous membrane of the fish and increase the risk of disease. The water temperature should be controlled at more than 20 degrees (including the need to increase the temperature before adding the cylinder block when changing the water). If the water temperature is too low or the temperature difference is too large when changing the water, the betta is prone to white spot disease

4、 The time for changing water is generally 3-5 days. The general method used in Malaysia's competition type fish fighting field is to use a spare tank and directly fish the fish after the water is mixed. For players, you can use a small basin to match water, and then fish for water

Generally, when we change the water, we use the separately made olive leaf water (some players like to put the olive leaf directly into the tank, which is no problem, mainly because the players like it), and then match and change the water according to the fish type. For example, the short-tailed type (such as the general) is raised with a ratio of 5:5. Most of the match type bettas can use 100% olive leaf water, while the other bettas can use a conventional ratio of 8:2 (8 olive leaf and 2 white water). It should be noted that if wild fighting fish are raised, the water level of the fish tank can reach 60-70%, because wild fighting fish are easy to jump out of the tank

PS: The olive leaf water is different from the "black water" sold on the market. Although it can reduce acid, the substances contained in the olive leaf are more conducive to the growth of betta

Individualized olive leaf soaking water

5. There are many options for feed betta. It is best to feed them alternately instead of focusing on one kind of long-term use, which will help their growth

Artificial feed: It is best to choose the feed with high protein content, and the floating feed with a content of more than 50% and small particles (about 1 mm in diameter) is the best. Mosquito larva: The mosquito larva has the function of supplying calcium to the bone of the betta, and it is the staple food of some match class bettas. Red worm: if conditions permit, live larvae can be used as much as possible, and generally used for adult feeding. Daphnia: Daphnia contains a large amount of protein, up to 40% - 60%, which increases the metabolism of betta and promotes growth. Other quick-frozen feeds: such as harvest shrimp, water fleas, red insects, etc., try to choose products from regular manufacturers, which is relatively safe. Small insects, such as rice insect larvae, are non-toxic small insects and are used as a snack for fighting fish. It is suggested that paramecium should be used as the main food for the young fish. After one month, it can be used as the main food for the harvest shrimp. Fine grain fish feed

6. Feeding method The pellet feed can be soaked with one grain first, and the swelling condition can be observed. According to the size of the volume, the feeding quantity can be deduced. Juvenile fish (1-3 months old) and adult fish can be fed three times a day. Pay attention to the idea of "less feeding and more meals", and feed 3-4 pieces of fish with two thirds of the size of the fish mouth each time, based on the principle of eight percent full. Put down the estimated amount (it should be finished within three minutes) at one time and observe the eating situation. As time goes by, you will know how much you need to feed. Use nets or straws to remove the leftover bait that cannot be eaten up, otherwise it will easily affect the water quality

The betta eats

★ Summary

In order to attract the attention of the betta, it is better to have a little fluctuation on the water surface when baiting (other fish species are also applicable)

7、 Sometimes the newly bought fighting fish will be "picky" or "refuse to eat". This phenomenon is mostly due to the new environment

and the maladaptation of the new bait. The solution is to starve for two or three days and feed once. If you don't eat, you will continue to starve for about seven to ten days. After you stop picky, you can match different kinds of food according to your mood. The nutrition is balanced, and the fighting fish will naturally be more lively Gorgeous

Interaction

★ Summary

When domesticating, the static floating feed was not found by the fish. You can touch the feed gently with a toothpick to achieve the purpose of causing the betta to find. If the fish really don't eat, take out the bait to avoid polluting the water quality

Well, the above introduction of raising Thai betta combines some experience of most farms and betta bases in Southeast Asia, hoping to help you. If you like Thai betta, welcome to discuss and exchange
